Jim Dine is an American pop artist and printmaker,He is considered part of the Neo-Dada movement.
The first image i found that really caught my eye was this one:
Gravel Road
Woodcut, collagraph, intaglio and copperplate etching
I thought this was really colourful and i loved the movement! i really like the contrast of the dark heavy line and the bright loose colour.
It feels very fresh and bright! I thought it was even more interesting because i found these other prints that were very dark and different compared to these.
These are both etching i think, and are very different from the first image. I really like them, they are so interesting to look at. So busy. The first image i think is really visually nice, i like the contrast in the top of the paper and the bottom fading into little dots, i love how dark the shadows are.
The second image is crazy, to me, dots, splashes, lines, tone. So much going on, the detail is insane, i feel like i could grab the hammer off the page!
I had no idea how much you could do with print!
