Over the summer i have been doing a project to help me make a connection with my work, it is all in a sketch book and files on my computer, one thing i tried to do was make little stop frame videos inspired from snippets of my dreams and it snow balled from there. I am finding a big pull towards film at the moment.
I started by drawing them on paper. Just small drawing and moving them each frame.
And then putting them together using a Gif app on my phone.
I then decided to use objects and played around with the idea using my hand

I then did the same with some others using drawing on paper...

And then using some clay i had lying around...
I found this very fun! and i want to continue it at college, i don't have a tripod or any lighting really in my house, which i found you NEED. Even clicking pressing the button on the camera to take the shot moved the camera so i might need to invest in a remote for this. Each frame should have no change in lighting or movement from the camera unless i am doing it on purpose, eg. moving it 360 around the character.
i also did a lot of research on how to build my own completely moveable stop frame puppet and how to build an armature model and i am quite excited to make one. So i cant wait to get back into college.
ROLL ON TUESDAY.
