Art & Design project HNC Brief and timeline.

Art & Design project HNC I am going to create work responding to my chosen theme – Reality.  I will do this by using film and photography. I will use editing software from apps on my phone as well as i movie, Photoshop, after effects and premier pro. I plan making one film but If  during the course of my research I decide that i will, for example, be creating not one film but 10 playing together, then that is what I will do. My targeted audience is people ages 18 – 50 that can relate to concept of my theme in a more abstracted form that the literal sense. I foresee my constraints being access to computers and materials as I will mainly be creating work at college and all computers are of course shared. I can see another restraint being time management. I will have to make sure to manage my time correctly and follow my guide. I have to keep in mind film making can be very time consuming and I will look at a range of artists that work digita...

HNC Project - film

I started by thinking about the idea of banning words in places where we have freedom of expression and how that works, I played around with a few ideas on how to do this and decided to try and use film where words are being taken out the mouth and put back in. I decided to try this in black and white because i felt it had a better feel to it.  I took a bunch of shots of Kevin with different banned words, i used the X for symbolism, i think its adds a little something especially in black and white.  I tried to think about how i used symbolism in my collages using this theme: I deiced to use this as a base line and experiment around it. I wanted to try adding sound to this one and i decided to take free audio of a speech about social placement and splice it up using the bits i liked the best. I also added a free sound clip of a beat to go along with it.  https://4estbest.blogspot.com/ i played around with over lays and different effects ove...

Photography - equipment

For my photography unit we were asked to write a report on 5 different types of photographing equipment. I decided to write one post with all 5 different types. Starting with Pin hole. Pin hole camera/ Solar Can A pinhole camera is a light proof box without a lens but with a tiny aperture, a pinhole, on one side. Light  passes through the aperture and projects an inverted image on the opposite side of the box. I have never used a 'pin hole camera' but i have used a Solar Can, which uses the same principle. The Solarcan was invented by photographer Sam Cornwell. https://solarcan.co.uk/ https://www.instagram.com/thesolarcan/ https://twitter.com/thesolarcan?lang=en The Solarcan is a unique camera designed to capture the Sun’s path across the sky. It is made from a tin can which has light sensitive paper curved around the inside. It works the same way as the pinhole camera. Point your can south, as the sun moves across the sky it exposes its path...
